- This section presents excerpts of some of the recordings collected by the Dreams’ Time Capsule at the different sites and now stored in the audio archive, conserved by the artist.
During the participatory events, participants were invited to record by voice the encounter of one of their dreams: the only instruction was that they recall a dream that they did not understand and that they would like to receive back on after a specific time. This process stresses the role of time in giving sense and/or shifting personal expectations and fears along the years. During the delivering process, each participant is invited to provide feedback on the relevance that the audio recording could have brought in the distance of time.
In addition, visitors were asked to give information about their date of birth, nationality, and their email address. This last one was very important, because the intention was to contact them again, ten years after the start of the project. That is now, in 2021/2022. The project now plans, as was always intended, to send back the dream recordings to the people who donated them. From 2011, the audio archive generated by this project reached more than 2000 recordings of testimonies in many different languages.
